Was very fortunate to be interviewed and featured along with one of my childhood and really good friends Mike “Fatoe” Orduna for this book about the best album campaign art for Wu-Tang Clan releases. The book was recently released in 2021.
We did the DJ Muggs Vs. Gza – Grandmasters album campaign for our Angeles Records label (DJ Muggs, Chace Infinite, DJ Khalil, Tone Lopez and myself). At the time I was the label manager, creative director and an A&R and when Muggs and my team told me we were going to work on this GZA album and what the concept was, it was only right to bring in Mike to navigate this creatively with me. Check out the interviews on Mike and myself below to see how we came about the concept visually and the process we took in designing everything.
